was a sign: "no longer create new pages!

To work in pairs, is still the great challenge of the "Surprise Box" for 3 dishes

Avi has yet to learn, what it is to cooperate, to cope with each other, to co-create.
Immanuel told me, that in a program, where Avi cooked with the judges,
there was wonderful cooperation. Immanuel pointed this out to Avi.
Avi said, that yes, he was aware of this and must learn it.

Shai shares with Avi his wonderful idea. Avi twists his mouth and finally says:
"I don't understand these things",
Shai: "but I understand" [meaning probably, if one of us understands, we can do it together]
Avi: "Things that I don't understand ...."

Shai asks something, and as in that assignment with Gili at Hod-Hasharon Avi waves him off: "do what you want".
Shai tries again: "If something disturbs you, you will tell me, won't you?" Avi: "everything is all right".
Shai sings: "It's fun in the kitchen..." as if trying to create an atmosphere of togetherness by this.

Yet Avi lists all the ingredients
which are "with me":
".......tomatoes are with me,
mango is with me,
peaches are with me."

Suddenly Shai feels uneasy:
" I felt a little,
as if his dish
was a dish of leftovers.
Everything
that did not enter my dishes,
didn't have a place,
somehow entered the dish of Avi "

Avi realizes this, but says:
"This comes from a place of giving, I think,
not from anything else"

"As if I wanted very much
that his dishes should succeed"
[all the young people in Israel have a bad habit
of inserting the word "ke-illu" = as if,
into almost every sentence],
"I also asked him about everything:
"Do you need this? Do have any use for this?"
and the moment I understood
that he had no use for it, I simply took it."

They ask for, give, want, don't want
a vanille-stick,
I didn't get it

Chaim:

"Guys, half an hour has passed,
you have still 45 minutes left"

The cooperation between Elihav and Sima is, of course, smooth, loving and playful.
Elihav tells about himself, why he, as a kid, needed enormous heaps of food and still needs.
And wonders, how he never got fat.
[Later in the documentary, in which Avi intervied Elihav, I learnt and saw that as a child he was very fat]

"There was something in me as a kid,
that wanted to discover and stretch
boundaries"

Elihav gives Sima a kiss and a loving word

Back to the complex cooperation between Avi and Shai

"yes? Are you content with the place,
with the fruits and everything is alright?"

"How does it go for you"
"thanks God"

"Avi-leh..."
"Yes?"

Avi: "I also on you, my brother" -
Shai: "Angel" says Shai and gives Avi a kiss on the shoulder.

Shai " [I] rely on you, my brother,
with closed eyes, my soul"

"I decided to try out things, I never did before I decided to come today, to fly
In the last few programs they let me understand, that I'm a bit fixated

"and in general from this day onward
as if to really present additional things"

"I came here with the opinion
as if in this assignment..."

"And I also think,
that this comes from the fear to make mistakes, perhaps

Avi (all people here, including Immanuel, speak a clumsy 'spoken language', , but as to Avi, it's sometimes hard for me to even understand him)

"Shalom, Avi, how is it going?"
[see, that Shai is not there at this moment!]

"as if to show other sides of Avi"

"Yes, I decided to fly today"
[to fly means also : to be fired]

Chaim:
"Avi-leh, you decided to fly,
I hope you won't fly from this competition."

To visit the cooking pair, Elihav and Sima, is sheer fun and delight

Sima:
"The judges
are going
to feel,
that there was cooperation "

Sima:
"We two
with three plates
together,

"they will feel us
that we worked
together:

Chaim:
"don't you think
there is
too much lemon
in it?

Elihav to Sima:
" put your finger in it.
....
Let go,
let's not understand,
let's taste

"It seems that I won't use lemon, Mammi,

in order to achieve my perfect dish"
"You can take [the lemon now], Mammi"

"I took too much lemon? Can it be?"

"No! taste...."

Sima:
"Lemon... Wai... I too shall need a bit of lemon"
