This is one of the old songs, I still love very much,
which is no longer sung in Israel.
Even on the Internet I could find only a piece of it
and I hope my memory has completed the rest
Even in 2010 I found only one - bad -performance
On April 8, 2010 I found the entire song

may be based on the wordplay in Eliyah's deepest learning experience!

How come, that I became aware of this song only lately,
when Efrat sang the chorus, while getting out of her car.
I immediately asked her and wrote down her answer.



Since the lyrics , especially of the chorus,
are so significant for my life,
and since the first line
begins exactly like Lea Goldberg's song,
which I learnt from Mika, then age 3, last year:

"Open your eyes, look around"

I want to make Nomi's song a slogan of mine
and sing only the first stanza with the chorus.




Chorus:

continuation of the story about a new relationship

Since Mika and May are neighbors, I didn't need to bother Efrat to fetch us.
We drove home with May and Na'ama, her mother.
Again Mika holds hands with her friend and then shows her the door to her building.

Sella 9! Didn't I once live in "Bethel St. 9"? My first and only rented flat after my divorce and before I moved into my mobile home.
During those 4 1/2 years I completed raising my children, "until the youngest would be half a year in the army", which was in 1985.

The friends parted - happy and fulfilled - but not for long. Already the next day Efrat would invite May and her mother to visit us.

In the evening
the great finale of
the three months program
"A Star is Born"
was to take place in Jerusalem.
Mika begged, begged, begged
to be allowed to stay awake.
Still after brave fighting with sleep,
her eyes closed.
Imma took the red cushion
from my bed
and put it under Mika's head .

In the morning Mika came to me
and on the already ordered bed,
with the red cushion
among the other cushions
and made fun with a cushion.
But only after she had asked me:
"Who won?"



See, what I put for you under the poster which we prepared yesterday!"
And I explained the three species, which she didn't know well,
the myrtle, the palm-frond and a twig the resembled a willow.


Then she dressed up for the celebration of Rosh Hashanah in her kindergarden (without parents)
I don't like when she poses and makes her "cheese" face as in the middle image, but she is pretty!

She likes to eat her cereals on the veranda,
but as occurs to her more than often, she spilled the milk.
So she hurried to the kitchen to bring a rag to clean it up,
before Imma would detect her blunder .
In this case I too wanted to avoid this
and discretely removed the wet pages of the local newspaper...

 

 

One of the biggest fan of "A Star is Born" is Mika.
Her identification with the competitors is unbelievable.
Since she fell asleep the night before
and did not see the glorious Finale,
Imma promised her to record the show,
and that between the end of kindergarden
and the beginning of her ballet-lesson
she could watch.
Efrat, too, was fascinated by Mika's fascination,
so much so, that when I took a few photos of the screen,
she said: "But look at Mika, look at Mika!"



When Diana learnt that she was The Star,
her eyes filled with tears.


Mika is still attached to the screen, though now she wears her ballet-suit.

 

And after the ballet, in which also May participated, who comes to visit?
May!

I don't remember what Mika showed May on "my" computer,
- during the many hours of her holiday,
Abba had taught her a lot of things,
and, of course, she has her own learning program from an inserted disk.

When this activity was exhausted, Mika opened our drawer,
where I keep for her all kinds of clothings and rags
for masquerading.
While the mothers get to know each other in the living-room,
the little girls are radiating love and laughter all around them.

 

 

Another rich day of Mika has come to an end, and Imma reads her a story

 

 

 

 

During the night from Sunday, Sept.5 , to Monday, Sept 6, Abba came home,
and as usual - there was great love and joy among father and daughter.


Since just before Mika detected Abba in his bed, she asked her mother:
"what will Abba say, if he see's Grandma's haircut-like-a-boy"?
I asked Efrat to take a photo of mother and son, so as to check,
if we really look so similar to each other, as people claimed,
even before we had the same hair-cut.
