pain, shame, fear, boredom, powerlessness,
so feelings can >heal >guide>fulfill>evolve,
and ~~~ offer ~~~"goldmines"~~~ to us all!!

Your head is full with dew-drops,
your head is towards the morning,
rose,
I'll pluck for myself.

This became one of the earliest folksongs of new Israel.
I learnt it - together with "Let us draw from the springs of freedom" -
even before I came to Israel for my scholarship in Jerusalem,
in September 1960.
I was the second chairman of the "German-Israeli-Study-Group"
(Deutsch-Israelische-Studiengruppe, DIS) at Tuebingen University
until July 1959,
and it was Martin Fincke, soon to become my fiance,
a member of the first German Students' Group allowed into Israel,
who brought us the gift of this song.

While my family was in the Far East, I worked on the interior level.

On the day, on which I returned,
Immanuel was again preparing
to fly to the Far East,
this time to Hongkong
and this time with his eldest daughter,
Elah.

I found the sisters on the floor,
Mika was imitating
Elah's heart.

2013-09-04-Eve of Rosh Hashanah

While Immanuel, Efrat and Mika were on their way to Efrat's parents in Acco,
and Elah, Alon and Tomer were on their way to the parents of their mother,
I got a Rosh-Hashanah-blessing from both, Elah and Mika.
Mika also wanted to give me a gift, a song:
"It's the chorus of a song by Shlomoh Artzi, which caused me to think of you."
I was touched.
Though when I searched for the song, I didn't like even the chorus,
leave alone the rest of the song ------or the tune, for that matter.
But for Mika's sake I'm inserting the lyrics of the chorus here:
