14 And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.

15 And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God.

Book Amos - end

Amos is not the only one who used this beautiful metaphor:
"I shall plant them in their land".
See my adaptation of Johann Sebastian's song of Jeremia's usage of the same metaphor.

It is a song of Full-fill-ment, but it makes me sad.
Amos "promised" this in the name of God in the 8th century B.C.
It didn't help the 10 tribes, exiled by the Assyrians in 721 B.C., to come back to their land.
It may have encouraged the "Jews", the people of Judaea, exiled by the Babylonians in 583 B.C., to dream,
and some of them indeed came back , and thus fulfilled the first part of the prophecy.
But what about the promise, that they would never again be pulled up out of their land?
They deserted it and were deserted - big time - in 70 A.C. and even more after 133 A.C.,
for almost 2000 years. [See my "Synopsis"]
Then, they indeed came back, and again the prophecy fulfilled itself in them.
But what about the last sentence - now????

On July 8, 2011, I may have found an answer:

You can never have a happy ending
at the end of an unhappy journey;
it just doesn't work out that way.
The way you're feeling, along the way,
is the way you're continuing to pre-pave your journey,
and it's the way it's going to continue to turn out
until you do something
about the way you are feeling.


The very fact, that some of the people of Judaea never stopped believing in all those prophecies,
though they came from the mouths of the very men who scourged them for their "abominations",
proves "The Law of Attraction".
No other tribe or nation of that or later times "came back to their land".
But what about the contrary - those Israelis today - who feel anger and pain,
since they fear that "Israel" once again barters away, what we have received?
What does "Abraham" mean by "until you do something about the way you are feeling"?
An hour later - when searching for my sequence "Celebrate what is right with the world",
I came across this quote:

So the big question is,
"Well, do I just dump all those unwanted things and try to start fresh?"
And we say, no.
You just set the Tone, where you are,
by looking for things to appreciate.
And by setting your Tone in a very clear deliberate way,
anything that doesn't match it
gravitates out of your experience,
and anything that does match it
gravitates into your experience.
It is so much simpler than most of you are allowing yourself to believe.


Of course, this isn't enough! The danger of "dumping" feelings, is still great.
What I've been learning for 25 years from RUOW and Godchannel. com, is,
that e-motions [from the Latin verb "movere - to move" !!]
have to be moved physically so they can evolve into seeing,
what "Abraham", "Go Gratitude", Jones Dewitt, "GoodNews" want us to see.
Singing the biblical prophecies with joy and gratitude is possible for me,
because I'm continuously moving the emotions which contradict the joy.
I believe "I'm not the only one" [John Lennon's song: "Imagine"],
Amos' prophecy - this time - will be fulfilled fully, wholly!

 

July 6-7, 2011
Only now I came across a parody about another prophet ,
with regard to whom I've not yet created one single tune:
the Prophet Ezechiel;



I'm grateful to starchild Boris, that he mentioned this song to me,
He did so just when he wanted to learn about "the Waters that will heal the Dead Sea",
without knowing, that this is a breath-taking story in the book of Ezechiel chapter 47.

This is a lovely parody about the prophet,
who found himself in the Babylonian Exile
in the 6th century B.C.. [see my "synopsis"]
His work - though ridiculed by his people -
was one of the reasons (as I see it- see my book),
why the 2 remaining tribes, Judah and Benjamin,
did not perish after destruction and exilation
as did the 10 tribes 150 years before them.
By the way, since then the Sons-of-Israel are called Jews (Judaeans)!
The parody is based on so many mystical stories
that I can mention only some of them:
* His eyes were like "a Tarshish stone":
tarshish is understood as the mineral "beryl"
[or - by Buber-Rosenzweig - as the mineral "chalcedony"]
and appears 7 times in Ezekiel,
but only once as "a beryl   s t o n e  ": Ez. 10:9

* with angels he ate and drank,
he and God were like me and you

The prophet had many visions,
in which he saw "Cherubs" in all kinds of scenes.
And "God" - depicted in metaphors - was always around.
See especially chapter 10

* As to the horrid "to'ovot" of the people of his time,
including the slaughter of their sons (firstborns?),
see e.g. the "abominations of Ohala and Ohaliba" , Ez.23

* Then he dreamed that he flew on a wheel
between clouds that burned like electricity:
Ezechiel's visions are full of strange wheels,
for which 2 words are used: "ofanim" and "galgalim".

The word "khashmal", which appears only in Ezechiel
Ezekiel 1:4 + 27 and in Ezekiel 8:2
in the English translation: "electrum" or "amber",
Buber: "Asem-Erz" [never heard, see a discussion]
serves as the term for "electricity" in modern Hebrew.

The last stanza refers to Ezechiel's famous vision, Ez. 37,
from which people understood "Resurrection from Death".
Synchronicity on July 7, 2011: I'm reading the Chassidic story about Ezechiel 1:26, told by Franz Rosenzweig in his letter to Gritli on Aug. 27, 1918

On Oct 2, 2010, I began to research the mystical expressions in the first chapter of Ezechiel in a Word-document, but so far I did not complete it:

But they that shall at all
escape of them,
shall be on the mountains
like doves of the valleys,
all of them moaning,
every one in his iniquity.
Ezechiel 7, 16

Suddenly I feel like putting the Hebrew Bible next to my bed,
in order to open it "by chance" , when I can't sleep.
Thus I was led to the 7th chapter in Ezechiel,
where the word "to'evot" - "abominations" -mentioned in the funny song above -
appears ever so often.
"Why should I read this? " I asked myself.
"I'm reading only prophecies of hope!"
But then I came to a verse,
the meaning of which is just as ghastly as the rest,
but I loved the metaphor , and by the way, I begin to enjoy
the very language in passages, which I had discarded so far.
To see , how words and expressions which we use in present day Israel, were used more than 2500 years ago~~~
Isn't that fantastic?
This is the verse in Hebrew - and I was reminded of it rightaway,
when the pigeons which dwell above my window, cooed this morning:
