From the "Border-Sculptures" I travel north along the Dead Sea,
then west to Jericho junction,
then further west 1300 m up to Jerusalem.

Since no car picks me up for a long time, I enjoy the awareness of "going up to Jerusalem"

Like in ancient times, except that the water-jar has given way to a tin canister

The joyful feeling of "going up to Jerusalem" gives way to pain,
when I see the signs pointing to Jewish settlements in Palestinian Land.
