On November 29, 2009, while reading in the Siddur, I came across a line in Psalm 36:8, which complements Psalm 91:4 and the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Thy wings. He will cover thee with His pinions, and under His wings shalt thou take refuge ["pinion" =the outer part of a bird's wing including the flight feathers] In Ps 91 it's only me, who takes refuge under God's wings. In Ps 36 its human beings - the children of man - in general I adapted this line-by simply repeating the verb-to that line: On July 25, 2013 , I rehearsed this song, on my way back from the pool, while walking down my steep "Wadi-of-Compassion". which always reminds me of They shall bear thee upon their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. I've been creating a more comprehensive composition than before:
Not only a sculpture made up of Mika's personal, individual being ~ playing ~ living
but a composition of the major experiences of her family - on this planet - at this time.

and the 19th birthday of Jonathan, my daughter Ronnit's firstborn.

Abba returns from his flight to Los Angeles
and stays with Mika, till we three grownups leave.
Elah will perform in a show about the Holocaust.
This, too, occurs symbolically on this 15th of April!

Mika's album of her second year, as edited by her mother, is again greatly enjoyed

Immanuel loves animals! My name, Rachel, means "mother-sheep", and is also the name of the first shepherdess in the Bible. This Rachel, the second and beloved wife of Ya'acov, later became an icon: "The Mother of Israel". I enjoy the contrast between those cows in the water on the other side of the planet and these sheep and goats, which Immanuel caught, while on a recent bike-trip with his friends in Israel
