kalati, my daughter-in-love,
I didn't see you as the kalah, the bride, on your wedding,
but I did hear you with my ears through the mobile phone
on a high hill across Succah in the Desert
and the Hagar Succah with the moon between its palm-fronds

But let's not make it too romantic.
"Passion", as this painting of Chagall is called, is still not whole enough
to redeem ourselves, leave alone Israel and the World.
