I'm surprised to see, how here I did not have the slightest doubt,
that this "image" of "God" was the only image possible.
The image of a transcendental God, beyond suffering and death,
that could neither be "a passive guarantor" nor "an active guarantor"...
In the former chapter "YHWH, the solidary God"
I exhibited a different image:
a God who will not magically lift the slaves from drudgery/oppression and carry them into a land of milk and honey,
because this would ruin the concept of "Free Will"
and where would be the boundary between "doing it for us"
and letting it "do" ourselves even in "small" things?
What is the quantum-leap in "theology",
(though rarely understood during the next 2215 years)
is the image of a God, who is compassionate with the lessons
humans have to learn - and to learn them in order to evolve Deity!
Therefore it is "God" who suffers with them, sins with them,
and redeems him/herself with them....

I don't understand, why - in people's belief-system - this "Solidary God"
so often became a judge and a punisher,
instead of simply "being with us",
whenever we cause ourselves dire lessons as did Ya'aqov.
"I am with you," the God of Ya'aqov-Israel said to him,
instead of judging him for his evil behavior towards his brother.
-The lesson Ya'aqov had to learn by himself
during 20 years in slavery,
deceived by his uncle like he deceived his brother
-and far away from his land, where he had wanted to enjoy
the fruits of the stolen right of the first-born.

I had not yet learnt then, that "God" is not "der ganz Andere",
as theologians during my studies (1958-1964) claimed,
but that we are the rays of the One Sun, the waves of the One Ocean,
the colors of the One Light.
